Open Records

KEMI’s records are subject to The Kentucky Open Records Act (KRS 61.870 to KRS 61.884) which provides access to public records by residents of the Commonwealth of Kentucky unless they fall within a specific exemption found in the Act or KRS 342.841. To request copies of or inspect public records, please make a written request that is addressed to the General Counsel. The request must include the requestor’s printed name, statement of the manner in which the requestor is a resident of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, address and signature and specifically describe the records requested. You may utilize the Request to Inspect Public Records form. KEMI will accept your request by hand delivery, mail, fax or email. KEMI may charge a reasonable fee for production of its records.

Open Meetings

In accordance with KRS 342.809, KEMI Bylaws, and applicable provisions of KRS Chapter 61 regarding Open Meetings, regular meetings of the KEMI Board are scheduled as follows:

Board of Directors:  Regular meetings of the KEMI Board shall be held on the second Tuesday of every other month (February, April, June, August, October, December) at 2:00 p.m. Eastern.

Executive Committee of the Board:  Regular meetings of the Executive Committee of the KEMI Board shall be held on the second Tuesday of every month at 1:00 p.m. Eastern.

Audit/Finance/Investment Committee:  Regular meetings of the Audit/Finance/Investment Committee of the KEMI Board shall be held on the last Wednesday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September, November) at 2:30 p.m. Eastern.

All regular meetings of the KEMI Board and its committees shall be held at the principal offices of KEMI located at 250 West Main Street, Lexington, KY.

The Board and its Committees may meet at other times and places subject to provisions of KRS 61.823 regarding Special Meetings. Requests for notification of special meetings should be submitted to legalnotices@kemi.com annually.
